Reports of the demise of San Diego Comic Con (as the following photos may attest) were greatly exaggerated. And while it certainly wasn't the same Hollywood-heavy version of the comic book convention we've come to know in recent years, it still was a lot of fun.







Doubtless next year will see the return of massive lines and thousands of attendees crammed into Hall H and Ballroom 20. But, this year, it was just a tad more memorable for what wasn't to be found in downtown San Diego.
